With great honor and reverence, we announce the establishment of the Marge and George Kenney Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship, created in loving memory of Marge Kenney, commemorates a remarkable individual who dedicated 25 years of her life as the parish secretary at St. Mary's Church, later known as St. Mary's Cathedral.
Your contribution to the Marge and George Kenney Memorial Scholarship Fund will not only honor Marge's legacy but also ensure that her passion for educating and empowering young minds lives on. Thank you for your generosity which will enable deserving children to access the exceptional educational opportunities provided by St. Mary's Cathedral School.
For every $25,000 in fund contributions, one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a Catholic student enrolled at St. Mary's Cathedral School. To apply or for more information on the scholarship, please contact the school office at (806) 376-9112.

The Marge and George Kenney Memorial Scholarship will begin receiving applications Jan 1 provided there is sufficient funding. Additional details will be provided as the application deadline approaches.
Eligibility:
1. Child of members (living or deceased, provided he/she was in good standing at the time of his/her death) of any Catholic parish in the Diocese of Amarillo with preference given to St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral.
AND
2. The applicant must be applying to, or be enrolled in, St. Mary’s Cathedral School, grades K through 5.
AND
3. The applicant must submit a completed application by the first Friday in May. Application will be available the St. Mary’s Cathedral School website or by request from the school office.
Selection Criteria & Additional Information:
1. Applications will be judged based on academic excellence, personal qualifications and financial need with primary emphasis placed on financial need.
2. Scholarship award will be sent directly to St. Mary’s Cathedral School where the child is enrolled.
